This Copyright and Intellectual Property policy explains who owns content on What's On? (“the app”), the licence you grant us when you submit content, what is prohibited, and how to report infringement. The app is operated by WHATS ON EVENTS LTD (company number 17375595), trading as What's On? (“we”, “us”). It sits alongside our Terms of Service (see User-generated content), our Community Guidelines, and — for organisers — the Organiser Agreement (§7 Intellectual property and licence). It does not replace those documents.
You retain ownership of content you submit to the app. That includes event titles, descriptions, images, links, organiser group profiles, and related submissions.
By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for formatting and display), and display that content within the platform for the purpose of operating and promoting the service. You must have the rights necessary to grant this licence for everything you upload. The same licence is described in our Terms of Service under User-generated content and in Organiser Agreement §7.
You must not upload or publish content that infringes another person's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights. This includes, in particular:
Organisers are responsible for the images and other materials they attach to events and group profiles. Using a promotional image you found online without permission is a common source of infringement and is not allowed.

Incomplete reports may take longer to action, or we may ask you for more detail before we can proceed.
We review copyright and IP reports. Depending on the situation, we may:
Where we remove or hide content because of an IP report, we will normally notify the uploader (for example the organiser group admin or the member who submitted the event) that the content was taken down, and give a brief reason where we can. We may not disclose the reporter's identity. Filing a report does not guarantee a particular outcome.

If content you uploaded was removed or hidden because of a copyright or IP report and you believe that was a mistake — for example because you own the rights, or have a licence to use the material — contact us at privacy@whatson-events.com and include enough detail for us to find the decision (event title, date, group name, or the original report reference if you have one).
We will review what you send. We may forward a summary of your response to the original reporter so they can consider whether to withdraw the claim or pursue it elsewhere. Contacting us does not automatically reinstate the content, and we may keep it removed while we review. This process is framed under the laws of England and Wales; it is not a United States DMCA counter-notice procedure.
We may suspend or terminate accounts, or suspend or dissolve organiser groups, that repeatedly upload infringing content or ignore takedown decisions. Serious single incidents may also lead to immediate action.
